Who We Are

A Church Built
Around Community

Thrive is a community where following Jesus means more than gathering on Sunday. We believe in living in community, caring for others, and joining together in the mission Jesus has given His church.

Our Mission

Following Jesus Into His Mission

Thrive's mission is lived out through five commitments: following Jesus wherever He leads, living in community, meeting real needs, talking about what God is doing, and giving outrageously to the mission.

Follow Jesus Wherever He Leads

Community

Meet Real
Needs

Talk About What
God Is Doing

Give Outrageously
To The Mission

Our Approach

Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing

At Thrive, we recognize a difference between personal preferences, deeply held convictions, and the biblical absolutes that unite followers of Jesus.

A hand holds a fanned-out color swatch book. To the right, text defines 'Preferences' as a greater liking for one alternative over another.

Preferences

Things we prefer; things unaddressed in the Bible.

For example: musical styles, coffee or tea, Seahawks or...well, never mind that last one.

A diverse group of smiling people sit in a row holding blank speech bubbles. On the left, text defines convictions as a firmly held belief or opinion.

Convictions

Deeply held personal beliefs; things that can be found in the Bible but have been debated without consensus over the centuries.

For example: Alcohol consumption, refusing to serve in the military, women in leadership.

A man with a tattooed arm points to a page in an open book, alongside a definition of the word 'Absolutes' as a universally valid principle.

Absolutes

The core, Biblical beliefs shared by all followers of Jesus, at all times, in all places and in all cultures.

For example: Who God is, who Jesus is, why Jesus came to earth, and why He died.

Our Identity

Becoming the
Church Together

Thrive believes the church is God's idea and that followers of Jesus are called to go, make disciples, baptize, and teach others how to love God. We believe believers need one another and that regularly gathering together is an important part of faith.
